"Working
with Deaf People: Part 2"
Using
the PETAL Procedure and working on Speech
Intelligibility
This
six day course is for qualified speech and language therapists
who are currently working with deaf people for at least
part of their working week.
It is aimed at developing the therapists understanding
of the assessment of speech production of both normal
and deaf speech,
as well as developing their phonetic transcription.
The course also aims to extend ideas regarding therapy
planning and intervention strategies with deaf people.
The course will teach the use and application of the PETAL
Procedure.
This course will run from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm for
three days followed by three days approximately six weeks
later.
